The QuickVue RSV Test is a dipstick immunoassay that detects respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) antigen (viral fusion protein) directly from nasopharyngeal swab, nasopharyngeal aspirate, or nasal/nasopharyngeal wash specimens for symptomatic pediatric patients (eighteen years of age and younger).

Instructions
1. Prepare: Thoroughly read the Quickvue RSV Package Insert before performing the test. Ensure that you have the safety supplies needed, such as gloves, and a work surface.
2. Collect Sample: Collect nasopharyngeal or nasal aspirate sample.
3. Extract Sample: Add sample extractant reagent and gently mix the solution. Incubate for 15 minutes at room temperature.
4. Dilute Sample: Dilute sample 1:4 with diluent as instructions in package insert.
5. Transfer Sample: Place a drop of the diluted sample onto the labeled wells of the Quickvue RSV Rapid Test cassette.
6. Read Result: Incubate the Quickvue RSV Rapid Test cassette at room temperature for 10 minutes then read the comic hello results.
7. Dispose: Dispose of all materials as directed in the package insert.
